Despite appearing on the scene only recently, The Peacock Society has become an essential summer rendezvous for Parisian punters. Taking place in the lovely Parc Floral de Paris, this year the festival featured two big warehouse rooms, an outdoor stage and a more intimate club stage, which was curated by RA—the likes of Joey Anderson, Adam X, DJ Pete, Geena, D.K, Marcelus, DJ Marfox, Kode9 and Vril shared the decks.

We Love Art, the team behind The Peacock Society, have been staging electronic music events in unconventional locations for more than a decade now. The settings and unique productions flourishes mean their events always stand apart from their competitors, which was certainly the case with The Peacock Society. This year the team worked with SUPERBIEN & All Access Design to design the venue and its outside surroundings, where people relaxed in the secluded woods. But this didn't mean the crowd wasn't here to dance. Far from it. The dance floors were packed until the very end—even when a couple of power cuts turned off the sound. The festival's use of #Bouillant ("boiling") was far from a meaningless hashtag. You'll see what we mean from these videos and mixes.

Laurent Garnier
There were moments during Laurent Garnier's set when it was hard to find someone who didn't have their hands thrust skywards, which is exactly what you'd expect when a hometown hero is nailing a headline set.

Warming up an enormous main space at a festival is hardly a straightforward task, but the French artist Voiski handled it like a pro with a set full of acid and classic Chicago sounds.

Ryan Elliott
The US DJ is a master at blurring the lines between house and techno—or Panorama Bar and Berghain if you're discussing his club residency—and in his Friday night slot he did what he does best, taking the main room crowd from gentle swaying to full-on fist pumping.

Joey Anderson
Anderson has one of the most distinctive styles in house and techno—deep, trippy, truly weird—but he broadened his sound a bit for his closing set on Friday night, mixing tracks from Loco Dice and Matthew Herbert with his trademark beats.

DJ Marfox
On Saturday night, DJ Marfox represented Lisbon's underground club scene with a raucous blend of kuduro, batida, Afro house and tarraxinha. He usually plays for an hour, so this extended set allowed him to showcase a full range of the styles currently bubbling in the Portuguese capital.

Marcelus
The Parisian artist opened RA's stage on the Friday night with 140 minutes of sublime techno, shifting the vibe from spacey warm-up material to more blistering attacks.
