- From Paris to the world stage with the Ed Banger boss.
- Few people have been as active as Pedro Winter AKA Busy P in French dance music. Hustling from the Radio FG studios to the Rough Trade record bins to Laurent Garnier's parties at Rex Club, the enthusiastic teenager quickly became a mascot for the nascent Parisian house scene in the early '90s. His growing popularity and network led him to organise events at Folie's Pigalle and then Le Palace at the request of the Guettas. Winter could have remained a busy promoter if a French duo didn't decide otherwise.
As they were about to drop their first album, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo asked Winter to join the Daft Punk adventure. From there, the young manager learned the ins and outs of the music industry on an international scale. It was a success story he was soon to repeat with his own label, Ed Banger, this time with another duo called Justice. With Ed Banger celebrating its 100th release, we caught up with Winter in his Montmartre office as he returned from Coachella to reflect on a career spanning two decades.
