BigCityBeats World Club Dome 2017

  • Hard to believe that the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME is about to celebrate its fifth birthday. No surprise, then, that BigCityBeats will be pulling out all the stops to mark the occasion. And not just with a line-up that features DJ Mag Top 100’s No.1 DJs from the last three years (Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Hardwell). AFROJACK, one of the best known and most successful DJs worldwide, will be making his BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME debut. He is known not just for his killer sets but also for producing acts such as Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Usher - all stars in their own right. Fans will be raring to see what he has in store for them on the Main Stage. Two other premieres lined up for the anniversary WCD weekend will be CHASE & STATUS, the Drum’n’Bass high flyers from the UK, and the KRIS KROSS AMSTERDAM trio. The Dutch shooting stars took the charts in over 11 countries by storm in 2016 with their deep house single “Sex”. The remake of Salt’n’Pepa’s “Let’s Talk About Sex” was a collaboration with Cheat Codes and notched up over 70 million video views and 200 million streams on Spotify. Following LAIDBACK LUKE’s triumph in front of 45,000 fans at the BigCityBeats Unite - The Mirror to Tomorrowland event in Gelsenkirchen, there was no question that he had to be given a place on the Main Stage at Frankfurt. Another highlight scheduled for BCB WCD 2017 is Grammy winner ZEDD. Born in Kaiserslautern, he moved to Los Angeles, the city where his incredible career took off. After snapping up the Best Dance Recording Grammy for “Clarity” in 2014 he went on to top the iTunes charts in over 22 countries with “I Want You To Know”, sung by his ex, Selena Gomez. After missing an edition of the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME the power girls from KREWELLA are back to deliver another fantastic live performance. Other newly signed headliners include Dutch A-lister DJs NICKY ROMERO and UMMET OCZAN. Oczan had one of his biggest hits with “The Hum”, a collaboration with Tomorrowland residents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who are likewise confirmed as WORLD CLUB DOME headliners. The Pool Stage, featuring showcases by Cocoon and Diynamic, has added LUCIANO to its headliners. His signature label, Cadenza, and legendary DJ performances in Ibiza’s clubs (DC10, Ushuaia, Pacha..) have earned him global status and an established place in the modern techno musicscape. The line-up on the Skyline Stage is slowly taking shape. Joining Alle Farben, Gestört aber GeiL, Jauz, Waka Flocka Flame and others will be Codeko, Drunken Masters, EDX, Freischwimmer, Jerome, Karol Tip, Luca Schreiner, Markus Gardeweg, Mike Cervello and Neptunica. Special Headliners on the Skyline Stage will be Yellow Claw. On 2nd, 3rd and 4th June 2017 a gigantic dance floor area extending over 700,000 square metres will once again go up in Frankfurt, the pulsating German metropolis in the heart of Europe. BigCityBeats is once more transforming the Commerzbank-Arena into the “biggest club in the world”. The two previous line-up announcements have already confirmed ALLE FARBEN, DEADMAU5, DEICHKIND, DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE,GESTÖRT ABER GEIL, LOST FREQUENCIES, KUNGS, MARSHMELLO, MARTIN GARRIX, ROBIN SCHULZ, SOLOMUN, STEVE AOKI, SVEN VÄTH and W&W as playing at the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME 2017. The fifth anniversary of the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME is not simply a chance for the friends of club music and members of the BigCityBeats club family to savour a string of new acts. The fresh new art work and poster design is a symbol of a facelift that will culminate on site in a range of brand-new stages, a new pool area and a multitude of charming details. Watch this space…
