The culmination of over 3 years bringing underground sound designers to Dublin, Mutate are honoured to welcome one of Swedens finest exports, Northern Electronics founder, Abdulla Rashim.
Submerged in both rhythm and mystery, Abdulla Rashim's shadowy aesthetic floats in balance with his uncompromising work. Wholly dedicated to his ideas and sound, Rashim's quest for renewal and the importance of his craft has reflected well both internationally and locally, where he is praised alike. A listening ear and pure emotion is what his rhythms demand and what keeps him on top of his mission.
He runs two labels, his first, Abdulla Rashim Records, released six deep techno 12-inches between 2011 and 2013. An outlet for his earliest productions, it launched at a time when there was plenty of interest in his type of music.
His second label, Northern Electronics, is also often dark but rarely harsh or confrontational, which sets it apart from the masculine UK aesthetic that's been enjoying a revival. This may explain Northern Electronics' increasing popularity—many people listen to it to hear something that's not immediately available in harder strands of dance music.
On support we welcome back Barry Greaves.
With such a highly esteemed artist in Abdulla Rashim, there was one man who stood out among many exceptional djs in Dublin capable of supporting the Northern Electronics founder.
Barry will play a 2 hour support set.
