DEKMANTEL Thessaloniki presented by Street Outdoors

Dekmantel will take over Thessaloniki on Friday, November 4.
For the first time, Dekmantel festival steps foot to this side of Europe, and throws a party together with Street Outdoors in Greece.
Greeks, have been widely known for their party culture and attitude, and lately are “chasing” events and festivals around Europe. Focusing on that, a meeting of one of Europe's brightest festivals and one of Greece’s finest events and promoters will happen.
Both Dekmantel and Street Outdoors started out throwing parties, and both have grown into organisations that host extraordinary parties with a significant focus in music, setup and diversity.
The line-up consists of five Dekmantel all-stars, Palms Trax, Makam, Juju & Jordash, Dekmantel Soundsystem and Central, along with four of Greece’s best.
Bristol born, Berlin based, Palms Trax is considered as one of the most promising new artists to date. Chicago-Detroit axis, cooking up pad-driven jams, off kilter drums and hazy synths that shift like a gentle musical tide. In the last year he impressed on Dekmantel Records with two amazing EPs, while his Dekmantel Festival DJ set were among the top ones to listen.
Makam is the moniker of Guy Blanken, a longtime friend of the Dekmantel posse and resident DJ of the unforgettable Trouw club in Amsterdam. Always keeping Detroit in the back of his mind, this Dutchman molds-in anything from playful jazz to smoky deep house and hard hitting techno.
Both members of Juju & Jordash, emerge from a various musical background that driven them from post-rock, jazz and ethnic music to quickly wandering into electronic space, crafting unique improvisational techno and house that majestically sits in a league of its own. Their live sets are an analog sound showcase moving between Roland drum-machines, Korg synths and electric guitars.
The Dekmantel Soundsystem crew have firmly established themselves as kings of high quality musical enjoyment in more ways than one. The Dutch collective spearheaded by Thomas Martojo and Casper Tielrooij are responsible for everything under the Dekmantel umbrella., a revered underground label, a much loved three day festival and a Soundsystem DJ crew. They dig deep into their record bags and play mesmeric back to back to back sets that are fully of seductive surprises and groovy gems, offers a tasteful and 360 degree take on electronic music.
Central is the alter ego of Natal Zaks, a gifted producer, master student in electronic composition, musician and DJ from Aarhus, Denmark. He's the newest member of Dekmantel Records, through releasing his esoteric, very distinctive and innovative house and techno music.
The Greek electronic scene is represented by no others than the Street Outdoors masterminds Jiles John, Jose Amba and Polatof, together with Phon, one the countries greatest diggers and selectors.
For this showcase, Street Outdoors will takeover Mylos Cultural Complex, an old industrial site in Thessaloniki centre and will distribute the line up in two stages.
