We're back and very proud to host the incredible Borusiade's debut UK gig. After a scintillating surprise set at last year's Unsound Festival, we knew she was a formidable talent and jumped at the chance to bring her over to London.
Her DJ sets combine bold and obscure sounds and genres within the realms of dark disco, EBM and mutant tropical with an acid touch. The sound is gloomy and powerful, with beats that touch one’s deepest senses on the dancefloor.
Born and raised in Bucharest and now residing in Berlin, Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu started DJ’ing in 2002 as one of the only female DJs in the city's emerging alternative clubbing scene. Influenced by a classical musical education and fascinated by raw electronic sounds, Borusiade combined these elements in the construction of her DJ sets and then later in her music productions. Borusiade slowly crystalized a sound of her own; often dark with poignant bass lines and obsessive themes, but always melodic.
She has now released two very accomplished E.P.s; Jeopardy on Cómeme and Feelings of Entropy on Correspondant and regularly hosts The Dreamcatcher on Radio Cómeme.
If you are new to Borusiade, you only have to listen to any of her podcasts for Boiler Room, Juno and The Ransom Note to know this will be a very special night indeed - book early for a special earlybird price.
