Peder Mannerfelt has been one of Sweden’s key electronic producers for the last decade, showcasing his ability to push the boundaries within a number of different genres and has proven himself as a singular artist.
Mannerfelt’s solo productions first came to light through Paul Purgas’ We Can Elude Control imprint and later on his own self titled label and Avian, where he explores industrial sound pallets with beat rhythms – the end results are hardware manipulations that sound like nothing else. Notable releases to date is the much praised album ‘The Swedish Congo Record’ on Archives Interieures, ‘Variation EP’ on Ultimate Hits and his much anticipated new album ‘Controlling Body’ on his own Peder Mannerfelt Production.
Through his collaboration with Malcolm Pardon as Roll The Dice, he has released music on the highly regarded labels Digitalis Recordings and Leaf. The emotive project fuses electronic experimentations and modern classical, producing soundscapes and emotional journeys.
Mannerfelt has collaborated with Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead and Glasser, as well as remixing Massive Attack and Lykke Li.
Anastasia Vtorova’s Machine Woman project first came to our attention via Salford’s Tesla Tapes label, releasing a cassette of original productions that used minimal electronic composition to explore the darker realms of electronic experimentations.
A year later she released on the excellent ‘For Sweden’ EP on Peder Mannerfelt’s imprint. This time her productions were more club orientated tracks, sharing dark similarities to her earlier productions. More recently, the hotly tipped label Where To Now? announced her next solo EP, which includes a strong remix by Kassem Mosse.
