We return after our New Years Day celebrations with Dixon and more for our first show of 2016. We aim to kick off our year as we mean to go on with 3 artists that have established themselves as some of the most consistent and exciting producers currently in house and techno. Friday 8th April we take over the industrial setting of The Steelyard, a perfect location with it’s high-arches and state-of-the-art sound system and architectural lighting.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse (live) -
A name inescapable from the past decade in house and techno, this Berlin / Hamburg duo have carved a unique path for themselves, refusing to be pigeonholed and are no doubt one of the most diverse and well loved producers around. With releases on such labels as Cocoon, Diynamic and Connaisseur, this eclectic approach has amassed them a huge following worldwide. Their much-hyped live set incorporates everything they represent; driving beats with a melancholic edge and we are so excited to have them down!
Alex Niggemann -
Next up we welcome back one of our favourite artists and certainly someone on everyone’s lips at the moment, Alex Niggemann. The Aeon label boss has enjoyed a lot of recent success, with huge tracks such as ‘Divergent’, ‘Virgo’ and ‘Stellar’ getting huge support from the likes of Tale of Us, Dixon, Sasha and more. Anyone who was at our summer party last year knows how much he smashed it on the day, we’re looking forward to a repeat performance on the 8th.
Patrice Bäumel -
One of the most exciting producers and DJs to emerge over the last few years, Patrice Bäumel has shown his ability at the very highest level and it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s not just anyone that gets to be resident of the now closed legendary Amsterdam club, Trouw. Since signing with seminal label, Kompakt, he has deservedly reached new heights with tracks such as ‘The Vanishing’ gaining support from none other than Michael Mayer and DJ Koze. Anyone who wants to see what all the fuss is about, check out his mix from Burning Man last year.
Tom Law -
On warm up duties for the night is longstanding resident and co-founder of We Concur Tom Law. Considered by many to be the most important set of the night, opening the party is something Tom has become accustomed to, gradually picking up the pace and leaving the floor wanting more as the first act comes on - His selection of melodic techno and darker shades of house is the perfect way to start any party.
