- The launch of the new Saturdays at the Civic marked a significant addition to the Sydney social calendar and saw the likes of Klaxons, Ajax & Rene Amesz perform on what’s rated as the best sound system in Australia. On Saturday 17th January, ARIA Chart Toppers The Aston Shuffle headline the first show of 2009, fresh from a hectic touring schedule which includes Shore Thing on NYE, Summerfieldayze and pretty much every other major festival in Australia. They’re former mix-up hosts on Triple J (arguably the most credible few hours of dance music on the national airwaves), mix Ministry CD compilations, tour worldwide and most recently have remixed Calvin Harris & Dizzee Rascal. They were also voted 6th best Australian DJs in the recent In The Mix Top 50 poll and have been profiled by just about every dance music magazine out there. On the night, they’ll be joined by our own resident superstars, Robbie Lowe, Gareth Dobson and Sari.
