  • Stephens Night at Re:Publik - 3 rooms / 15 Djs Yes indeed RePublik have expanded their Christmas bash to 3 rooms this year with one hell of a line up. The Main Room (Electric Avenue) Re:Publik keep things nice n deep in the main room with their residents Paul Mac, Daz, Gavin Boyce & Martin Roche on support duty to Ireland's original tag team duo Fish Go Deep: Fish Go Deep are with out doubt Irelands original house kings and really need no introduction. This year they celebrated 20 years in business and we're sure there will be another 20.They have played every corner of the globe and have dozens of releases under their belt. Greg Dowling & Shane Johnson have been rippin’ up dance floors in Waterford since the 90's to this day they have legions of fans who come out to catch their sets wheter it be the old-schooler from The Roxy & Metroland days, or nowadays the new kids on the block that have been attracted to fresh sounds of Fish Go Deep due to their phenomenal success with their debut album, Lil’ Hand. Greg & Shane have been regular visitors to the Re:Publik camp for over three years now from playing in The Loft to headlining Electric Avenues main room with their super vocalist, Tracey K. Greg & Shane love playing in Waterford and love playing for Re:Publik too, as they have recently said ‘’Re:Publik have their finger on the pulse of what house music should be, from venues to residents and especially the clubbers, who appreciate and know a good music when they hear it, Waterford should be proud to have these guys as the Number 1 in the country for Small Club event promoting’’ Room 2 (The Loft) If your prefer your house music with a bit more funk, then The Loft is the place to be on Stephens Night where nothing but funky house beats are in store when Re:Publiks Kenno, Paul Bryan & Warren Sauvage set the seen for two of the finest djs/producers to step on to the underground house scene in the past decade The Littlemen: THE LITTLEMEN fly in for what promises to be a memorable party at "The Loft". Hailing from Nottingham in England and with releases on labels' such as their own Mobile Trax and Inland Knights' Drop Music aswell as World renowned labels such as Tango Recordings, Lowdown Music, Muzique Boutique, Amenti Music, Nightshift Recordings, Blockhead Recordings, Uma Recordings,to name a few, they have been creating a reputation throughout the world for their deep, funky and contagious house music. Aswell as their production work together they have also released material independently, on labels such as Drop Music, Tilted Recordings, Viva Recordings, 20:20 Vision, DiY Discs, Myna Music and Aroma Recordings. The Littlemen continue to be heavily involved with playing & promoting their local party scene, but you will also find them performing gigs in Asia, all over Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and beyond and when the Re:Publik clubbers asked "When will The Littlemen be back?" Re:Publik jumped on the chance to have them play at the Christmas party with the guys only to happy to play such was the success of the April 08 event. Room 3 (The Mezz) Tech-House to Minimal techno and everything in between on The Mezz with Re:Tech residents Joe Gould & Alan Harris, since Re:Tech’s birth back in January '08 it has snowballed into one of the best techno nights in the city, so much so that it has been short listed in the 2009 Irish Dance Music Awards ''Best New Club Night'' On support duty will be another Waterford DJ , Skelly and making a SPECIAL GUEST appearance on the night is one of Waterford's longest running DJs, Will Power, who has been at the forefront of the Waterford scene for longer then he cares to remember, he will be playing one of his deep minimal tech sets for us on the night and we are delighted to have him on board. This is going to be yet another memorable night for the Waterford clubbers, Doors open at 8pm and you are strongly advised to get there early. With over 6 hours of music spread across 3 rooms with 15 DJs and all for the small fee of 20 euro door tax.
