Music People Presents Boys Noize Records Night Featuring D.I.M LIVE, FRED FALKE LIVE and BOYS NOIZE
After 10 years of djing I've had many fabulous nights. But my dream line up would be a Boys Noize Records night with the Boys Noize Records artists. - Alex Rihda, aka Boys Noize - Fairtilizer blog, Oct 2008
Sunday of the Australia Day long weekend Music People present BoysNoize Records Night at the Forum in Sydney - featuring DIM & Fred Falke LIVE, plus - announcing special surprise guest headliner - none other than BOYS NOIZE himself!!
With an international lineup this exciting, and more acts to be announed, tickets are already selling fast for what could easily up being the biggest night on the musical calender this summer.
Labelled the Ed Banger of Germany, Boys Noize Records (established by Alex Rihda aka Boys Noize and Kid Alex) is at the forefront of electronic music for generation Y. Boys Noize Records is a trendsetter, pacesetter and innovator, releasing some of the coolest and most up front music around, with a diverse and impressive stable of talent including Siriusmo, The Faint, D.I.M, Shadowdancer and of course, head honcho, Boys Noize.
Sporting a Banquet-sized remix portfolio, Boys Noize promises a captivating performance, particularly after the success of his recently released album, Oi, Oi, Oi. Hot property throughout Europe, he has reworked everyone from Bloc Party, Sebastian Tellier, Justice, Gonzales and Marilyn Manson and his music is no stranger to the playlists of Erol Alkan and Soulwax. His sound is in your face and NOISY, but you wouldn't want it any other way!
D.I.M (BoysNoize Records)
Andreas Meid, D.I.M. to you and me, produced two of the best tracks of 2007: 'Airbus' and 'Sysiphos' on Turbo Records. Everyone from Sven Vath to Justice loves his stuff, not to mention his production partner Boys Noize (together they make PUZIQUe). Having remixed The Presets, Chromeo, Midnight Juggernauts, Teenage Bad Girl, Fischerspooner and Franz & Shape, he is one of the most in demand remixers around. He's just released Is You on BNR, Brodinski on the remix, with support from the Ed Banger crew, Erol Alkan and 2 Many DJs. Name drop extraordinaire. Be prepared when D.I.M hits the stage to rock out an incredible live show.
FRED FALKE (France)
Best known for his stellar production work, including the classic 'INTRO', and smoking remixes for the likes of Goldfrapp, Eric Prydz, Pnau, Lykke Li, Hot Chip and Kelis, this is a rare opportunity to catch Fred Falke as a performer. With a new solo EP, Music For My Friends just out on vinyl, Fred is ready to flex some muscle and show off his prowess behind the decks and on the bass; yep, Mr Falke was originally a funk bass player before his own 'digital revolution', so really you can expect a little bit of everything at this show. If the thought of being separated from his usual posse is all too much for this French national, he can hold the hands of any of the other. It's not quite croissants at the Louvre, but this slice of French culture won't go to your thighs.
