Made Event presents Save The Cannibals With Steve Bug

  • Made Event inaugurates the New Year with the first installment of NYC’s new techno weekly series - SAVE THE CANNIBALS. At the helm of this new Saturday night ritual, Poker Flat Recordings chief and newly minted StC resident STEVE BUG and Detroit transplant Eric Cloutier lead the techno natives into unchartered territory. The upstairs at Rebel will provide the intimacy of a small dance boite, along with exceptional sound with a complete new sound system installed and engineered by Integral Sound. On the conceptualization of StC, Made Event partner Laura De Palma explains, “having been involved with electronic music for years in NYC, we’ve seen a lot of changes. The current ‘bottle service’ trend is the antitheses of what clubbing is to us. Because we’ve been personally inspired by a lot of music coming out of the techno scene in recent years, we wanted to give it a home in NYC where everyone feels welcome – and we want to hear it on a kick-ass sound system!” StC FREQUENT DINER CARD For those with an insatiable techno appetite, StC Frequent Diner Cards will be available for purchase. For $120 USD, members will be granted expedited admission to TEN (10) StC events of their choosing throughout 2009. It’s a jungle out there and membership has its privileges.
