After sparking several rumours and causing mass speculation, it’s been confirmed that Sasha will play all night long on New Year’s Eve at Electric Brixton. Taking place on Thursday 31st December, Last Night On Earth in London will allow the label boss a rare chance to enter trademark territory as he returns to play a hugely anticipated eight hour set. With some special surprises in store for the night including a hugely anticipated back-to-back performances with Jonas Rathsman and Matt Tolfrey, this is set up to be one incredibly special night.
Since being declared a ‘Future star’ last year by BBC Radio 1’s key dance gatekeeper Pete Tong, Jonas Rathsman has gone on to exceed all expectations with a string of first class releases, remixes and an undoubted ability to work a dancefloor. This has been evident through his French Express imprint and growing presence across the globe including an Essential Mix debut back in June and the launch of his Elements Mix Series. Hand-picked by the LNOE boss to join him on the night, Jonas will step into the booth for a very special back-to-back set with Sasha in one of the most talked about NYE performances of 2015. As one of the underground’s most promising talents, this is one battle you simply can’t miss.
Also joining us on the night is the man behind the inimitable Leftroom imprint Matt Tolfrey. A favourite on the ever-changing underground circuit, Matt’s ability to transform a room with his open mindedness and unmatched record selection has seen him evolve into one of the most respected DJ’s on the planet. We’re therefore delighted to welcome him to Last Night On Earth NYE. A regular at clubs including fabric (London), Treehouse (Miami), Verboten (New York) and Zig Zag (Paris), New Year’s Eve 2015 will see Matt step into Electric Brixton for the first time and deliver a mouth-watering back-to-back session with Sasha. As the second artist to feature during Sasha’s 8 hour set, it’s clear that Last Night On Earth is the only option this NYE.
Internationally recognised as one of electronic music’s leading imprints, Last Night On Earth has become renowned for consistently churning out the very best underground sounds. The label’s London activity has also been second to none following a sold out LNOE NYE 2013 at Brixton Academy and packed-out stage at South West Four 2014. This year saw Sasha make a heroe’s return to the SW4 outdoor main stage on top of further standout performances at Warung (Brazil), Verboten (New York) and Carl Cox’s ‘Music Is Revolution’ (Space Ibiza).
With Sasha’s previous eight hour set in London still at the forefront of many of our minds, the excitement for the next is already growing at rapid pace. Get your tickets now or risk missing out on history in the making.
