We're very happy to announce our massive November double header, featuring Telefunken and Mark Craven.
With over 16 years combined DJ experience, the Telefunken duo teamed up in 2005 after playing a gig together at the Slip Inn. They found their sounds were similar with a love for the deeper techy side of house. They found a natural groove with both their mixing and programming and above all were having a blast whilst still keeping the punters happy on the dancefloor.
After scoring their first residency on the Home Terrace, their deeper acid/tech sound has given them credibility whilst still rockin’ dancefloors across Sydney. Telefunken have since taken it out of Sydney to play at parties all over the world, San Francisco, Japan, Fiji, Nu Caledonia and closer to home in Melbourne, Brisbane, Noosa, Newcastle, Jindabyne, Wollongong and more.
Telefunken finished off 2006 on a high note by gaining Runner-Up Next Big Thing in the 3D Magazine awards. The boys then went on to rate 44 in the 2007 inthemix top 100 Australian DJ poll and secured sets at most of the major festivals across Sydney during 2007 including Playground Weekender, Ministry of Sound @ Home, the VIP Room at Future Music Festival (25,000 happy punters), We Love…Sounds, Earth Dance (32,000 people) and Pacha New Years Eve at Home Sydney. 2008 has seen much the same with the boys playing at most of the summer festivals with return appearances at both Playground Weekender and Future Music Festival.
Telefunken have been playing around all of Sydney’s most renowned club nights clubs with residencies at Beware the Cat and KINK as well as guests spots at parties like Minimal Fuss, the inthemix.com.au xmas party, Club Club @ Chinese Laundry, Sweet Chilli and so on.
To date, Telefunken have supported the likes Tiga, Teifschwarz, Dave Spoon, Jona, DJ T, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Audiofly, Jo Mills, Tocca Disco, Ben Watt, Clive Henry, Hipp-e, Spencer Parker, Joachim Gerraud, Mike Monday, Tayo, Deadmau5, James Lavelle (Unkle), Who Made Who, Sharam (Deep Dish) and many more.
Recent Aussie import Mark Craven has been playing Wonky Tech fuelled house and Techno for the last 10 years at clubs in the UK, Ireland, Ibiza and Europe and played along side DJ’s like Dave Clarke, Green Velvet, Justin Robertson, Paul Woolford, Darren Emerson, DJ Marky, 2many djs, Stanton Warriors, DJ Yoda and many more.
After first playing in Sydney last year at Beware the Cat, Mark was quickly signed up to Finely Tuned DJ Agency and now plays regular around the city and interstate.
He is also a previous IDJ Raw Talent winner and a top pick in DJ Mag ;
“ Mark Craven's set leads us down a trippy, downright filthy mix of groovy minimal and techno. It is everything a DJ set should be - underground, forward-thinking and technically perfect. With hints of Chicago house and Detroit techno, this lad proves he's a proper talent waiting to be discovered. Life-affirming stuff." (DJ MAG)
Mark was also chosen by Mixmag to warm up for his techno idol Dave Clarke at Snowbombing in Austria 2005 and has since become part of the Snowbombing’s extended family. He was invited back the next year to play along side Darren Emerson and joins them on Snowbombing and Beachbombing tour dates in the UK and at yearly events in Europe like the Rotterdam Street parade.
Combined with the always exceptional box residents Mic Doney, Loosekaboose (Trinity & Jay Smalls), Jimmy Posters (James TT) and Defined By Rhythm, attendance is a must.
COME IF YOU DARE!
