On 17 November 2015, YA will be leading Miranda Bar in Ace Hotel, Shoreditch, into far darker rebellious climbs with the sounds of raw trap beats infused with lyrical deliveries from the Far East. Riot-inducing, percussive rattles will be shaking the walls of the intimate space with the aid of some of the most influential names in Korean hip hop. Headlining the show is Okasian and B-Free, both of Hi-Lite Records, the respected label responsible for nurturing the new young trap lord Keith Ape. Having featured in his Cohort crew mate Keith Ape's global hit "It G Ma", and Ken Rebel's "Underwater Rebels", Okasian is now set to be one of Korea's most promising new generation of MCs with his raw, laid back flows contrasted by intense trap beats. Hailing from both the US East Coast and New Seoul City, Okasian has just released new tracks like VERYRARE and SUMO, that are glimpses into crowd-dominating and opinion-changing energy that he spits. Not one to shy away from controversy, B-Free is an iconic bigmouth of the Korean hip hop scene with refreshingly honest free-flowing lyrical delivery that represents his Hawaiian roots. A stalwart of the Korean hip hop scene, and one of the earliest members of Palo Alto's Hi-Lite Records label, B-Free's latest album "Korean Dream", is about an MC's journey against the confinements of the Korean music industry, that rings true even here in the birthplace of rebel grime, London. Further adding to the bill is DJ Djanga, a labelmate of B Free and Okasian at Hi-Lite Records, and a stalwart of the Korean hip hop scene, who will helm the afterparty, mixing both rare Korean trap/hip hop beats with global hip hop and trap beats to send you into the early mornings. More support comes from local artists in the form of Zone 17, Darq E Freaker and Macca Wiles, who will perform their latest tracks in their home turf. With the above as a line up, it is only fitting that a key focus of the night is mood, atmosphere and a total lack of pretension. The music will speak for itself.
