Street Art Award Party & SHP Charity Auction

  • The Street Art Awards & Charity Fundraiser Remember Remember the Fourth of December, date of The Street Art Awards & Charity Fundraiser, an eclectic mix of art and music, all for a very worthy cause. Hosted by Rough Trade Records, organised by urban arts aficionados, Auction Saboteur, proceeds from this event will go to benefit the SHP (formerly known a the Single Homeless Project). Featuring over fifty international contemporary artists, sales from donated artwork will help realise the SHP’s vision for a creative arts space resource, accessible to their clients and the community. The night will consist of an introduction showcasing the finalists and their nominated art pieces. Attendees will be an assortment of invited guests and winners from the web site voting polls. On entry, guests will receive a ballot paper on which to vote for their favourite short listed artist. Attractions are to include, a magician, DJ''s, live bands and a charity art tombola containing special one off, or customed art piece collectables. Other art related treasures will also be in abundance including live bands and DJ performances from Andrew Weatherall, Skeam, Headhunter, Ntype, and Headphonesex. Art contributors are aplenty including the likes of Asbestos, Beejoir, Ben Allen, Brian Jones, Case, Charming Baker, Chinamike , Crie, Cyclops , Dale Grimshaw , Damon Ginandes , Data , David Walker , Dell , Dr.D , Gaia , Gawd , Goldie , Guy Denning , Herakut, Holly Thoburn , Hush , Know Hope , Labrona , Matt Small , Mestizo , Mr Jago , Neverwork , Pete Fowler , RomanyWG , Rowdy , Replete , Ryca , Skewvile , Speebe , Steff , SPQR , Sweet Toof , Tex , Tom Hine. The showcased art pieces are already much prized, recently adorning the walls of VIP lounge at the recent MTV music awards in Liverpool and featuring in the recent Kids Company rumble in the jumble sale which was hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and Kids Company.
