  • Northern Funk was established back in 1996 as a spin off to Manchester's longest running clubnight - Funkademia. The night has always sold out every club it has operated at from the Attic to Subspace to Zumeba and now One Central Street every Friday night. The eclectic mix of classic funk, motown, electric disco and original soul inspired modern beats forms a veritable discography that has kept the Northern Funk dancefloor buzzin' for twelve soulful years. The venue One Central Street is located right in the heart of the Manchester City Centre close to the town hall and central library. For a map check out We have a very eclectic music policy so expect to hear the likes of De la Soul next to Stevie Wonder and James Brown, Amy Winehouse with Diana Ross, and Faith Evans back to back with Otis Redding. Resident Myk Nolan takes charge with regular guest spots from Trafford Lovething, Dave redsoul Wareing and Fritz Great Lakes. Further information can be found at and guestlist enquires or group bookings should be sent to [email protected] with as much notice as possible. Northern Funk kicks off at 10:30pm and runs through until 3.00am.
