  • On Day 2 of The Endup's monumental 2-day event, the good times continue, and what better place to work off that Thanksgiving meal than The Endup. The Scottish born, Barcelona based Lars Sandberg, who is known to the world as Funk D'Void, will be stepping away from his hectic schedule to help celebrate Thanksgiving in San Francisco. Lars was born into music from a mother who was a classical pianist. And, through his formative years, Lars took influence from hip-hop, acid-house and Detroit techno. But, it wasn't until 1995, after the release of his very first track "Jack Me Off", that the moniker Funk D'Void was created. In the years that followed, Funk D'Void had become a worldwide phenomenon. He's had a multitude of releases on his record label Soma, including the seminal and chart-topping "Bad Coffee", the jazz-tech homage to Herbie Hancock called "Herbie On Rhodes", and especially the infectious "Diabla", which was praised by Pete Tong as the best techno track of 2001. Funk D'Void has also created brilliant remixes for his peers Orlando Voorn, Kevin Saunderson, Laurent Garnier, Audio Soul Project, Slam, Scumfrog, Nic Fanciulli, Shlomi Aber and even New Order. Thanksgiving at The Endup will also showcase some hometown heroes and heroines; the Phonic Thursday residents: Worthy (Dirtybird, Anabatic) J Phlip (Phonic, Dirtybird) LadyHaus (Phonic, deepFrisco) Still Rob G (Om, Phonic) The Endup 401 6th St San Francisco, CA 94103 10p-4a FREE B4 midnight, $10 after or RSVP [email protected] for FREE entry B4 1a
