Since its launch in March 2008 Circuit at Home Bar has become a regular fixture in a growing number of weekend diaries. For some it’s the essential pre-party when warming up for a big night out; whilst for others the amount of energy packed into its 2am finish is more than enough.
When Home underwent its re-launch back in spring 2008 Circuit was the flagship party in its new programme. Home was one of the original Shoreditch bars, but after losing its way in recent years, Circuit has been at the heart of Home’s reconnection with a new generation on the Shoreditch party scene.
Along with the comfort and cocktails of Home, it is the music that underpins the success of Circuit at Home. Resident DJ Enzo Siragusa brings the experience of playing at some of the best clubs in London and Ibiza, to inspire a very definite sound for Circuit. That sound is rooted in underground electronic music, it has great depth and soul, and it is ideally suited to its surroundings, engaging the drinkers and the loungers, as well as the dancers.
Circuit relentlessly profile DJs who we feel embody the Circuit sound, whether they be established international artists like Afrilounge (PokerFlat), Luna City Express (Moon Harbour) and Gavin Herlihy (Get Physical); local heroes likes James Priestley (secretsundaze), Geddes (Mulletover) and Giles Smith (secretsundaze); or rising stars like Playset, Sandeman & Mr Dickie, Ben Rau and Seb Zito.
On Saturday 8th November Circuit will kick off a seven week series of late night sessions to be known as CIRCUIT AM. These parties will run from 8pm to 4am every Saturday night at Home, and will be followed by a weekly after party from 4am to 11am around the corner at Platinum. For CIRCUIT AM we’ll be welcoming back some of our favourite guests from 2008 including Giles Smith, Hector, Afrilounge and Geddes. They’ll also be joined by a few wonderful new headliners including Luna City Express from Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour label. They were outstanding at Retox recently and we can’t wait to welcome them to Home. Also watch out for a set from Gavin Herlihy. Since moving over to Berlin he has begun to establish himself on the international scene with some fine releases on Mood Music and Buzzin Fly.
We’ve had some great 4am parties at Home already this year and these seven should be equally wicked. The after parties at Platinum are a great opportunity to take things even deeper and more twisted. The slightly seedy yet cosy nature of Platinum makes it the perfect after party venue, and the ideal home for CIRCUIT AM.
