  • "Baise-Main, def: "gesture usually used to show respect by kissing gently a lady's hand with a delicious but decadent manner". ...But also the name of the sexiest thursday night in the Ditch in years! Fondation records welcomes you to Baise-Main, the monthly night at T Bar hosted by Danton Eeprom. For this one we've got a very special guest coming, the living legend Andrew Weatherall. Surely the most famous british dj of the underground scene, Andrew Weatherall is the godfather of uk indie electronic music. As a producer moving from the sounds of Madchester to downbeat to experimental techno through the '90s, Weatherall could've easily ridden the Big Beat or high-profile-DJ waves at the end of the decade, choosing instead to pursue - and in many ways define - a more cutting-edge, IDM approach. Member of The Sabres of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen (on Warp Records), remixer of the Happy Mondays, New Order, Björk, The Orb or My Bloody Valentine, producer of Primal Scream, Mr. Weatherall has been behind a handful of indie forward thinking 80's and 90's english bands. His oustanding science of djing is respected and admired by everyone, everywhere. Danton Eeprom, acclaimed for his apoplectic version of Radio Slave's "Grindhouse" on Rekids and his death-disco-ish version of Zombie Zombie 'Texas Rangers" will keep it real with a Dj set aimed at an army of dreamers. His remix of hyped-up Lykke Li's "Breaking It Up" is just out and considered as an instant classic by the scene and is already on heavy rotation in the wild wild east of Lahndahn... Tomas More will strike the night with his unique taste for dark, vicious but nevertheless groovy beats."
