As 2007 overall runner up, 2008 Midlands Round 1 Winner and 2008 Semi Final 1 joint winner, Tom EQ is definitely one of the favourites for 2008. An accomplished scratcher and all round entertainer who brings the whole package to the table as well as a boat load of faithful support from home town Grimsby, who’ll no doubt be expecting to take the title home with them this year.
A DJ who brings 110% to every set he plays, MOGS has been absolutely outstanding in both his rounds and achieved one of the highest scores ever recorded by the judges in his recent semi final win. Part of the infamous Midlands based Deuce sound system and another DJ with a large following we’re expecting something very special for the final.
Antwerp based up and coming DJ Levels surprised everyone with an absolutely outstanding performance in his semi final. After beating 10 of Europe’s best in the Belgium heats he stormed his way into the final and came joint top with Tom EQ proving he is one to watch. Anyone who can drop Bryan Ferry’s “It’s my party” into the middle of a set, make it work and have the dance floor raving must have some talent!!!
Almost knocked out in the semi final by way of a cruel miscalculation when adding up the final scores, Miss B takes her place in the final and she thoroughly deserves it. With solid performances in both her rounds this Barnsley based DJ brings a lot of fun and talent to the decks.
More talent from the North, Enigmatik delivered a brilliant performance in her semi to take another well deserved place in the final. A lot of the crowd were raving after her performance when she stepped off the decks and we’re looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us this time round.
London’s only remaining DJ, Larry Sun brings a whole different perspective to the competition. A laptop DJ and master of the mashup, Larry Sun is known for mixing up party tunes from any and every different genre. Not your average set but a whole lot of fun which has had the dancefloor heaving every time.
Want something a bit harder? Berkshire based DJ Mumbles has it for you trust me! An awesome demo brought him into the competition and after an absolutely slamming set in the semis, he’s back to tear up the dance floor for all you techy trancy ed-bangers ;-)
