  • So, it's been a little while since the last Brain Machine event but these things can't be rushed. Good things come to those who wait, eh? What started out earlier this year as a loose enquiry has now materialised into a solid arrangement and it is with joy and excitement that I can proudly announce an upcoming live show from Inkamera (Last Known Trajectory) Inkamera is the solo project of French musician Victoria Lukas, an exceptionally hard working and unique artist. Victoria is involved in countless projects, namely her hard hitting solo work as Inkamera for Last Known Trajectory, her more melancholic and experimental guise as Vita for Frustrated Funk and of course her collaborative project with Gerald Donald (Drexciya/Dopplereffekt) as Zerkalo for Clone Records. Aside from this she also has collaborative releases and various vocal appearances alongside Jauzas The Shining and Alex Stark and works as a composer for film scores and occasional art installations. Although clearly following in the footsteps of classic synth pop, new wave and industrial music, her sound is ultimately contemporary and completely individual - modern electro with no compromises. Her music in its instrumental state alone is compelling and unique, yet it is her ethereal vocals that add a hefty amount of extra weight to her projects. For the live incarnation of Inkamera, Victoria will be joined by another accomplished French Musician, Thomas Suire. Thomas also has a number of active projects. Definitely worth exploring are his band Infecticide who mix electro and pop sensibilities with comical, ironic lyrics and his darker, more techno leaning solo outfit The Fat. Thomas will be accompanying Victoria playing synth and Theremin. And where more perfect for this mid summer French electro/techno takeover than the ever wonderful Islington Mill ?! Full line up / ticket info etc will be announced soon Stick it in your calendar ! Peas, BM
