ALEXANDER ROBOTNICK – Italy Renowned for his 1983 Italo disco classic ‘Problems d'Amour’, which has since been remixed by some of the biggest names in the dance community, including Carl Craig and Miss Kitten, Robotnick’s productions and DJ sets reach far beyond any one particular sound and span a broad range of influences from the past 25 years, from pop and world music to disco, electro and techno. Over the past decade in particular Robotnick has reinvented himself, with his popularity soaring during the electroclash movement when he was championed by the likes of Felix Da Housecat and began headlining his own club sets. It was during this period that Robotnick signalled his long-awaited return to the mainstream dance circuit following a string of experimental projects with a headline set alongside The Hacker and Kiko at Spartacus Club in Aix-En-Provence, France. Since then Robotnick has affirmed his status as one of the world’s most individual and respected DJs via a number of successful crossover releases, including his artist album Oh no… Robotnick and his breakthrough mix CD The Disco Tech of...Alexander Robotnick which featured New Order, Tiga and F.P.U. Robotnick continues to release original production on his label Hot Elephant Music, with his recent single ‘Can I have An Ashtray?’ charting on Beaport and attracting remixes from the likes of Detroit Grand Pubahs ahead of the release of his new album Italcimenti. A true individual who remains one of the most referenced and respected electronic producers of modern times, don’t miss the chance to experience the great Alexander Robotnick for his one-off Sydney show at Deep As Fu*k. Links: DJ TLR aka MR. CLAVIO – Italy Playing punk and early hiphop in local youth homes, the Chicago acid-house wave hit in 1989. Forever torn between worlds, his erratic DJ career got more direction in the mid 90's when Global Darkness was founded. He became involved in organising underground Jungle parties in the totally freaked out and fucked up squat scene of the West Coast of Holland area. In the late 90´s - when Jungle had died a horrible death in Drum & Bass - the first wave of The Hague electronics knocked him off his socks. The tense and narrative style was far removed from the mind numbing lifestyle crap that dominated the airwaves and instantly brought back a love for electro that had been dormant in him since the mid 80's. He founded, which grew into one of the most consistent electro/disco reference points and later the seminal Crème Organization label. What started out as a little playground for his Mr. Clavio alter-ego soon grew to more serious proportions with releases of Lolita Strap, Bangkok Impact, It & My Computer, Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, Alexander Robotnick and a slew of others. Crème Organization has been releasing on a rigorous schedule and quickly gained a cult following. Some highlights include multiple tours of the USA, Japan and Australia and an invitation to play on the Musiclogical stage at the FUSE-IN festival in Detroit. Links:> Discography: Mixes: YOKOO – France Yokoo started from European Hardtechno in the beginning of this century and slowly redirected himself towards a style corresponding deeper to his soul. The electric blue became, like his music, electronic. An electronic blue-blooded artist. Influenced by Gui Boratto, Dusty Kid and Popof among others, YokoO offers in his sets and productions uncluttered deep energetic and melodic Techno, with an inimitably suave European fragrance; you will start a spiritual journey, your soul and heart might even be touched by a bolt from the blue. A discreetly confident disciplined blue-eyed boy with a true-blue touch of French technique! Links:
