What more can be said about the man at the centre of the international techno scene. Oliver Huntemann, Marc Romboy and Thomas Schumacher spotted his unique talent in the studio early. Within a year he was producing under his own name and remixing the likes of Depeche Mode, Booka Shade and The Knife. He has truly become one of the new pioneers of techno, leading the wave of exciting new innovative producers.
Spellbinding audiences last year with his DJ performances, his LIVE show will leave you utterly breathless. His equipment alone warrants excess baggage, 3 midi controllers, chaos pad, firebox, laptop and infamous Lemur controller from France. Anyone who has witnessed a show overseas will testify to its pure class and intensity. Hold on tight, it’s going to be one hell of a ride! This is Stephan's first LIVE show in Scotland.
Described by Steve Lawler as "a great songwriter with some fantastic ideas", Stu has received support from much of the A-list DJ fraternity, thanks to an ever-increasing catalogue of tracks and remixes.
As a vital part of Lawler's Harlem Records imprint (and now VIVA Recordings), Stu's first release, "Rhythmique" gained numerous plays from Pete Tong on his Essential Selection show, as well as being one of Lawler's closing records in his sets throughout 2005. It was included as the final record of the Lights Out CD Compilation series, released on Global Underground in October 2005 and was also licensed to Moguai's World League compilation. Lawler described it as "a truly amazing record" and charted it at number 3 in his all-time Harlem Nights tracks.
Stu has releases forthcoming on labels such as Plastic Fantastic, Fantastic House, VIVA, CR2 and his own digital-only label, Strawberry Blonde Records.
Stu also produces under the name Ourhouse (with Neil Anthony) and Davidson & Hirst (with Neil Davidson), having released on Subversive and Level under these names. Remix wise, Stu has worked for labels such as Deeper Substance (reaching Balance Promote Chart Number One), Limbo, Level (with plays from Jules on Radio One), Climax and Adjust. In 2006, he is remixing artists such as Livio & Roby, Disciples Of Sound and Tim Davison.
Stu spent much of 2005 as one of the main A&R reps at Subversive Records.
DJ wise, Stu has played at some of the UK and beyond's finest clubs, including appearances at the last three Closing Parties for the mighty Space in Ibiza, Global Club in Lithuania, Amsterdam Dance Conference and many more, including Ministry Of Sound, The Cross, Heaven, Turnmills, Colours, Progression, Do This Do That, Glam, Storm and Inside Out.
Other notable successes include winning DJ Magazine's Mix Competition (ahead of thousands of entries) and runner up in I-DJ's Monthly Mix Competition.
