  • We're back in the basement where we belong this month again after our residents rum bar laneway adventure in March - something we are planning on ramping up this summer as things heat up. Speaking of heat, we've got it a serious amount of it ready to dose out on Friday week with a cracking selection of local DJs as always, ready to rock the cellar til very late as always. Quick big ups to Conor Dunne, Con Allen and Philip Galvin Jnr for absolutely smashing the place back in February to an absolutely heaving dancefloor in one of our favourite parties to date. Now for a little bit about our guest DJs for the upcoming party below: Conor Feeney (Big Dish Go) Conor Feeney is the co-founder of one of Dublins longest running and most eclectic clubnights BIg Dish Go, still heavily involved in most of the major music festivals throughout the year. As somebody we've worked with many times over the years he needs little introduction, other than to say we're really really looking forward to his set and to see what he brings to basement. Expect a varied and hypnotic journey of off-kilter house, techno, disco and electronica influenced grooves and shakers. Sol O'Carroll (Nightflight) Sol has been a part of the excellent Nightflight collective since they began promoting their own distinctive parties in Dublin and beyond and is a DJ we've been keen to welcome down to the cellar for quite a while now. Expect a sterling and interesting blend of cosmic-tinged house with a classic edge. Better Call Sol! Rob Smyth (Mix & Fairbanks) We're delighted to welcome Rob back in the fray this month after he stole the show in Pacinos cellar nearly a year ago at our Torque launch party. Expect a bumpy twisty journey into the realms of house, disco and everything in between. Cici B (Secret Sounds) In her own words.... "New to the DJ scene and loving it!" Well we can't argue with that or the relentless enthusiasm that it invokes. Ciara has been popping up all over the place lately with some excellent sets, most recently at the sober (but fun apparently) early-morning -before-work party Morning Glory. We're looking forward to hearing a no-doubt excellent early night selection of funk-laced disco and disco edits. Soundcloud: Mixcloud: TORQUE // PACINOS AT NIGHT // ADM 8/10 // OVER 21s
