Maximized will prove to be an exciting night of minimal techno debuts from acclaimed Mobilee artist GummiHz and Bar 13 Resident Connie, playing a tag team set with Jason Patrick. The November 1st party represents the Chicago debut for both GummiHz and Connie!
Alexandros Tsotsos a.k.a. GummiHz has been musically active since his early childhood. Involved in a couple of bands in the late 80s he started djing in the early 90s and got more into dance music. Later moved to London where he set up his first studio. Some of his early productions were released for UK based netlabels. In 2006 he signed to Mobilee records were he has been exclusively releasing his productions up to now. GummiHz’s records have been widely accepted by djs, music enthusiasts and media worldwide. Currently residing in Berlin, he is constantly developing new material in his studio, while performing for club audiences worldwide his dynamic mixture of elegant club music.
Born and raised in Queens, New York City, Connie appeared in the electronic music scene six years ago and has become a familiar face in the NYC underground house/techno scenes. Connie has spun her eclectic mix of funky house, tech house, electro, acid, minimal and techno all over the world and alongside the most talented DJs/producers.
Connie has also spun outside of NYC, in San Francisco, Miami, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Vancouver, Ibiza, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Prague, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, Athens, and most recently, BERLIN!!! In March 2006, Connie won the Village Voice DJ Spinoff Contest and spun at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. In March 2007, Connie spun at the infamous Sunday School for Degenerates party at the Pawnshop in Miami, opening the terrace for an all-star line-up!
Jason Patrick, a passionate music fan since childhood began his excursions into techno and house music in the late 90's when he began dj'ing. After honing his skills on the decks, Jason began playing out at many of the local Detroit hotspots over the years including Motor, The Works, One X, Buzz Bar, CAID, Corktown Tavern. With years of contributions and involvement in the Detroit scene many valuable friendships were made. Klectik recordings came about from one these relationships with Josh Surma, another local dj/producer from Detroit. Klectik has also served as the platform for their Multi Media Loft Parties and Club events that have featured such artists as Drumcell, Ryan Crosson, and Frankie Vega.
After completing a course in audio engineering in early 07, Jason relocated to Chicago, a city where he has had strong friendships with many key figures in the techno scene for several years. Chicago has served as the launching pad for Klectik Recordings
