The continued rise of Scottish award winning techno Dj/Producer Stevie Wilson is growing in epic proportion. Since he started producing techno music only in May 2011 his tracks have been well received in the techno community and gaining massive support from Dj's all over the world. In this short space of time he also won the award for best Scottish Techno producer 2012 at the E.M.M.A.S & this has now made his name stand out among the rest and show everybody that he means business.
Stevie has DJ'd all over the world from Japan to Germany, Portugal, Austria and many places in between. He has released on many big labels including iOrganism, Reloading, Illegal Alien, Brood Audio, Naked Lunch, Abstract, Bulletdodge and many many more.
Stevie will be bringing his deep & dark, twisted industrial sounds to full on banging grooves which will be guaranteed to get the dancefloor rocking!
Born in Perth, but raised in Glasgow, Danny got the techno virus from his older brother, back in the golden 90s. He started djing in the middle of the 2000s, and quickly secured a number of gigs around the UK, including a residency in the world renowned The Arches, as well as a featured mix in IDJ Magazine.
In 2010 Danny teamed alongside Leon Watson (half of Clutch Slip) to start producing. The two of them, plus Leons partner in the Clutch Slip project, Twandy, created their own label, Clutch Trax, in 2011.
Since then they've been delivering a great deal of powerful, dark, bigroom and solid techno, supported my many of the worlds biggest & best DJ's.
Danny has releases on a number of top labels, including Brood Audio, Freitag, The Zone Records, Hybrid Confusion, Naked Lunch, Refluxed, as well as of course on his own imprint Clutch Trax.
Stevie fell in love with dance music at an early age after acquiring his first set of turntables at the age of 15. From then, over the following 5 years he spent most of his time (and money) discovering music, collecting a substantial vinyl collection and developing quite a talent for mixing. After getting together with his friends and doing a few small gigs, Stevie was soon recognised and given a massive opportunity to warm up the legend Pete Tong for Radio 1's essential selection after party. He did it well and impressed enough to gain a weekly residency at the once legendary Ice Factory nightclub. It was here that over the following 4 years, Stevie would be exposed to some of the biggest names in the industry, regularly mixing along side the Radio 1 roster, Cream, Hed-kandi, excentric, inside out and the immortal Rhumba Club. He gained the ability to warm up and do it well, under pressure and in front of massive crowds and refined his musical taste to today's more recognisable form of Techno.
Now and looking forward to the future you can find Stevie doing his popular "rude not too" podcasts which gain listeners from all around the globe, working on his own music productions and of course Djing with his current, technology embracing set up of Traktor and Maschine.
Stevie released on Clutch Trax in 2013 with his massive track Origin!
To complete the line up, we welcome local DJ, Dean Newlands. Known for his sets at the TLF secret party projects, the TLF NYE party and more recently his own club night called Variation which is also hosted at 42 below, he has been making waves through Aberdeen. Having already recently warmed up for Mr G, Dean is a perfect addition to this stellar line up!
Rev it up!
