After a banging launch party in September, which had the venue extending opening times for our dancing buddies’ pleasure, we are happier than ever and confident that our second party will shine even brighter. It will be rather special…
As the mood slowly starts to settle down with the earthly colours of the new season and the idea of gearing up for a bit of an ‘a-la-yank’ trick or treat meltdown seems more reasonable than booking a last minute holiday to the Mediterranean resorts, we can assure you that what lies inside !knuf’s candy bag is by no means a trick, but a treat of the highest instance.
Our guiding Star on this very occasion is none other than Berlin’s newly adopted talent and London’s prodigal child Jools Porter a.k.a Miss Jools. A familiar face for those vinyl addicts that religiously wander around the streets of Soho and as many of you know responsible for birthing one of the most talked about parties to hit London’s underground scene over the recent years; the italo-scented Clandestino. Miss Jools collaborations and productions for the dancefloor under the Sleeper Thief moniker have given her the opportunity to release material on labels such as Sixty Four Records, Souvenir and the ubiquitous Mobilee Records where she is working hands on at the moment with a forthcoming EP and some exclusive material for the Back 2 Back compilation series.
Digging deeper into our candy bag things only seem to get hotter with our sun-drenched, hot-blooded London-based Spanish duo Oli & Chico merged into the supreme DJing act Sonogama. Being heavily involved with Sounderground Records and hosting events like Kitchen Party these guys have shown discerning dancers that they know how to keep it hot behind the decks… ermm and everywhere else!
Of course this starry-studded night couldn’t shine as bright without the all-seeing eye and quality seeking ears of its ahead of the game players Jordi Mas (sounderground) & Maura (entropy) who will be smoothing our guests in and out of their sets on the main room whilst Alejandro Asencio (latenighttales) will keep things ‘different’ in the disco room with a tacones y pelucas (wigs and heels) carry on.
Leave the tricks to the DJs and just get ready to take those treats on…
!Knuf said, see you on the dancefloor … or maybe looking at the stars
