Jerk will bring together 2 DJs who have both been known as being very obsessive about their vinyl, always searching for that hidden gem, the freshest beat, and freely globetrotting genres due to their wealth of musical knowledge. This night is a chance for them to play what they wanna play, by delving into the vaults of their scrumptious collections and enjoying the healthy camaraderie of seeing who can play the best tunes. Jerk is about the history of dance music, not in a chronological sense but more of a passion of what a DJ really is, a selector! This will be underground in the most underground of ways.
Depending where their journey takes them, expect the possibility of hearing any or all of the following in the mix: Rave, Bass Music, Hip-Hop, Techno, Electro, Juke, Acid, House, Detroit, Old Skool, Grime, Breakbeat, Chicago, Ballroom, Jackin, 2-step, Brooklyn, and stuff that is so new it doesn’t know what it is yet!
Held in the newly minted Rye Wax record emporium with only 70 tickets available, and a fine bar with reasonable prices, this you don’t wanna miss!
Tickets for this event can only be bought in advance (£5 + BF) and no tickets will be available on the door on the night.
