On Friday February 6th 2015, WAVES bounces back from the January detox with another intimate showcase of the hottest underground talent in house, garage and bass. For our fifth party we move to a brand new tropical space and welcome Annie Mac favourite, TCTS, to headline alongside Black Butter Records’ WOZ and Rinse FM’s very own MAISON SKY.
Described by Mixmag as “part of a new wave of young British house producers”, TCTS, aka Sam O’Neill, has built a sizeable name for himself in recent years with his distinctive, floor-filler party vibes. He recently saw his ‘Games’ EP (released on Chase & Status’ MTA Records imprint) gain widespread support from the powerhouses of BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra including Annie Mac, Mistajam, Cameo and more. Sam will be bringing the full force of his bass-driven, piano-flecked house to Waves, and we can’t wait.
Heavyweight support comes from Woz, a young Bristolian producer whose innovative approach to bass music has earned him an increasing reputation across the UK Underground. His recent EP ‘Cherry Hill’ was received with widespread acclaim among the most revered of tastes, including Toddla T, Oneman, Redlight, Roska, Gorgon City and Loefah to name a few. Blending an innate inner-city temperament with a wildness that’s all his own, you know a Woz production when you hear it.
Support comes from Rinse FM’s young bucks Maison Sky. The West London duo burst onto the house and techno scene with their remix of Route 94’s huge number one release ‘My Love’ back in February. Since then the boys have gone on to remix for the likes of DJ Zinc and Shadowchild, release their own critically acclaimed records on Mak & Pasteman’s Materials imprint, as well as garnering support from the likes of Radio 1, Deetron, Jackmaster, Laurent Garnier, Skream and more.
