NEW YEAR'S EVE 2015
Ring in the new year with us! We're super excited to feature some of NYC's most talented house and disco DJs:
Willie Burns (L.I.E.S. / Creme Organization / The Trilogy Tape / WT Records)
Known best as Willie Burns, longtime DJ and producer William Burnett has been having his busiest year yet. In addition to deejaying as Speculator and producing as Grackle and Black Deer, he has also collaborated with fellow heavy hitters like Legowelt, Entro Senestre, Jorge Velez, Suzanne Kraft, and Secret Circuit, to name a few. Head of the widely respected WT Records, he has also been releasing music on tastemaking labels like The Trilogy Tapes, L.I.E.S., and Creme Organization.
Rounding out his busy schedule of producing and playing music are hosting his weekly radio show on WTBS and managing cratedigger's paradise The Thing in Brooklyn. A DJ set from Burnett is something to behold: Oddities and rarities are sprinkled with classics and forgotten gems.
Tom Noble (Beats in Space / Clone / Future Times / Superior Elevation / House of Spirits)
After smashing out numerous floor melters on Clone, PPU, Future Times, and his own Superior Elevation Records over the past few years, Tom Noble has firmly planted himself at the top of the underground boogie pyramid. Recently appearing on Boiler Room in Brooklyn as part of Beats in Space's 15th anniversary, Noble's "Holding On," as House of Spirits, was released this year on the B.I.S. label.
Soul 2 Seoul (Basement Floor)
Soul 2 Seoul (a.k.a. Turtle Bugg and [Ctrl]) have been coming up fast in NYC's underground, bringing their unique flavor of house, techno, and disco to venues like The Panther Room, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Le Bain, Cameo Gallery, and more. They also recently launched the vinyl-only label Basement Floor, which has released tracks by artists like Elbee Bad, Chupacabras, John Barera, and Son of Sound.
Dan Selzer (New York Endless / Golf Channel)
Dan Selzer is an eclectic DJ with a wide range of influences. He started his first weekly party, Transmission, in 2000 at Plant Bar with members of the band The Rapture. Since then, he has hosted and played a wide range of regular NYC parties, including partnering with Mike Simonetti under the moniker Crazy Rhythms. His newest project New York Endless, released on Golf Channel, has been receiving glowing reviews all around.
Ex Ex Ex (Aurora Dreams)
With a deep, vibey style that characterizes her sets, Ex Ex Ex pulls her audience into a sensual musical experience incorporating disco, acid, funk, indie and, above all, deep house genres.
Facets comes to Brooklyn by way of Belgrade, London, and Paris, with a passion for all things techno, house, disco, electro, and beyond.
