  • ‘Higher Ground’ is a series of very special music events curated by Hidden Agenda. These shows focus on showcasing the best international and local talent performing in alternative and spectacular venues across the country. Each act is carefully chosen by Hidden Agenda on their musical and artistic merit with a focus on showing only the most exciting, innovative and creative acts from across the board. Each show will be filmed on the night and released as a high definition video online after the event in the form of episodes. Luke Abbott: Norfolk native Luke Abbott is a game changing addition to modern electronic music. Having an obsession with analogue sythesisters and drum machines meant that his sound evolved from the odd to insane. Having just released his second album ‘Wysing Forest’ to critical acclaim, following up his explosive album ‘Holkam Drones’ which got absolutely huge press for being a pioneering album ahead of its time. “'Holkham Drones' should stand side-by-side with the masterpieces that Kieran Hebden and Dan Snaith have put out this year.” - 9/10, Drowned In Sound Luke has done remixes for the likes of John Talabot, Jon Hopkins, PVT, Nils Frahm and East India Youth to name a few. This show will be a very special show for him on this tour. https://www.facebook.com/lukeabbottofficial?fref=ts http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/19535-luke-abbott-wysing-forest/ http://www.factmag.com/2014/03/27/luke-abbott-wysing-forest-hear-amphis/ Maria Somerville: Born and reared in the heart of Connemara, Co. Galway, a barron and vast landscape of both sheer beauty and cold misery, Maria Sommerville takes inspiration from these surroundings and presents heartache, love and lonesomeness in a way like no other. Having no releases to date and no material to hear online as of yet, Maria continues to brew a following of fans off the back of word of mouth and her compelling live performances. https://www.facebook.com/somervillesounds?fref=ts Subplots:
