Eat a Peach presents: Lee Holman, Stephen Mahoney

  • I can’t think of two better people to help us throw our first techno party. From Stephen Mahoney changing the course of EVERYTHING a few years back by sending us the first Larry Heard track we ever heard (‘Missing You’ - fyi) to Lee Holman kickstarting a right psychic rabbithole when he performed a live ambient acidic techno set in a very dark room of Garter Lane Theatre, as part of last year’s Sonic Arts Waterford festival - both of these wonderful men have in their own ways, scorched our musical heart for the better. These two stand tall and staunch in their own unique visions of what is current Irish techno and that is why we love them. Now come and have a dance with us. Lee Holman [Demarcation/Kawl] Wexford’s best kept secret, Lee Holman, good guy, great dj and producer of sorts has released his work on labels including Ferox, Mowar, Modular Expansion, Gynoid and Snapshot not to forget his own labels Demarcation and Kawl. Holman, accustomed to playing small and insignificant clubs (Tresor, Le Paris Paris, Corsica studios –never heard of em) has kindly agreed to follow a trail of strawberries we will lay out to guide and lead him all the way up from his country house to The Grand Social. Stephen Mahoney [Dsr/Resorted Recordings] Dj/Producer and co-founder of analog, one of Dublin’s techno collectives, Stephen has been djing various club nights over the years and is now promoting new up coming talent within the techno sphere. He is a vinyl only dj and splits his creativity between producing upfront techno and playing choice sounds on vinyl. He also has a weekly radio show on playdublin.
