Hidden Agenda will move their weekly residency to Opium Rooms every Saturday night from September 20th! We’re also delighted to announce we have PANTHA DU PRINCE performing live to mark this occasion. For the first time at Hidden Agenda, you’ll have multiple rooms to choose from including The Garden, where disco stalwarts SPACE CAMP kick off their new monthly party.
We’re massive Pantha Du Prince fans, so having Hendrick over to launch our new residency in Opium Rooms made perfect sense. Hendrik Weber aka Pantha Du Prince is one of the popstars of the electronic music scene, and he definitely earned his fame. Born 1975 in Bad Wildungen, Germany, he developed a very unique signature sound over the years. Swirling synths, an always present melancholy and his trademark sound, the bells, alltogether form what is now known as "Eiskristalltechno" (Spex). His Albums "This Bliss" and "Black Noise" are widely considered to be two of the most beautiful electronic albums of the last years.
In addition Weber has composed remixes and arrangements for Depeche Mode, Animal Collective, Philipp Glass, Bloc Party, Hurts and Trentemöller. Weber's work has been shown at solo and group exhibitions in numerous institutions and galleries. As recently as September he caused for much interest and a great success as curator, with the exhibition “Kunst ale Klang” in Galerie Vittorio Manalese (the young gallery belonging to Bruno Brunnet's Contemporary Fine Arts).
