Shut The Front Door: The Summer After Party - Room 2: Waves Takeover

  • No matter what time of year, it is always tropical with Shut The Front Door. We invite you to our London Summer After Party, boasting our largest line-up yet. Our venue WILL be transformed into a tropical paradise. More details coming soon... Theme: Tropical #UnlockTheParty ▬▬▬| Room 1 Sounds Zimmer [Roche Musique] A king of edits and remixes, Zimmer has had work supported by an array of STFD favourites such as; Moon Boots, Dimitri From Paris, Yuksek, Jupiter and the ten of thousands who follow his monthly mix tapes. After he blew us away in Nottingham back in January we just had to bring him back for our London crowd. Prepare for something very special! ▬▬| Darius [Roche Musique] Frenchman Darius is no stranger to STFD. Currently releasing on the magnificent French label Roche Musique, Darius has seen some great reception with his productions. ‘Hot Hands’ - taken from his Romance EP - recently hit over two million plays on Souncloud and it’s no surprise when he has seen support coming his way from the likes of Yuksek, Cyril Hahn, Moon Boots and more! With remixes of the likes of The Magician, Bondax and Mø, Darius’ disco and funk beats will create the perfect vibe for a tropical STFD party – you don’t want to miss out! ▬▬| Oliver Nelson [Kitsune] Born and raised in Stockholm, Oliver Nelson joins a wave of Scandinavian producers that seem to be taking over the electronic music world. Funnelling cut after cut of funk enthralling productions, Nelson has racked up an impressive roster of club-ready records turning everything to gold he's been able to get his hands on. Following up his Cazzette "Sleepless", Tove Lo "Habits" and smashing Elle Henderson "Ghost" remixes, Oliver recently delivered another instant hit by remixing Route 94’s summer anthem “My Love”. If an instant injection of feel good vibes is what you're seeking heading into the weekend, then look no further as this emerging Swedish disco music connoisseur will deliver a swinging set for your audible pleasure. ▬▬| Tobtok [Kitsune] With a soaring online following and millions of plays on his Soundcloud, Tobtok is arguably one of the most exciting young producers around and unquestionably, one to keep an eye on. His lush, vibrant productions have marked him out as one to watch and the music he's sending out is absolutely killing it online (we could reel off the Hype Machine and YouTube stats but we won't). Since his first release of 2014, Savanna, Tobtok has been making huge waves in the French house and nu disco scene. His classy productions have caught the attention of the genre-defining French record label, Kitsuné, a discovery that has led him on a European DJ tour to spin under the Kitsuné Maison banner. ▬▬| LeMarquis (Live) [DiscoThrill] LeMarquis is a French act that specialises predominantly in Indie Dance who, despite being relatively new to the scene, has already built a strong following. By combining elements of pop, nu-disco and R&B music, this young french artist has been exposed with his song "Something New" and has gradually become noticed in the scene thanks to his stunning live performance where he incorporates a guitar and sings himself to create a blend of beats and lush sounds into a concoction that gets your hips swaying. ▬▬| JackLNDN Emerging UK producer JackLNDN has recently followed up his previous amazing original "Drop Out" as well as remixes of Clean Bandit’s "Rather Be" and Chordashian’s "Questions" with a brand new remix for Tensnake showing exactly why he is an act to take notice of. He is one part classical technician and two parts main room club surgeon. His style is simultaneously a mixture of centuries of European musical heritage and a sneak preview of the future. The incredibly promising producer transforms each track that he touches that will have you getting down in a whole new way. ▬▬| Ronika (Live) Nottingham-born disco-pop firecracker Ronika – all platinum blond hair, blood-red lips and ripped jeans has won extensive praise for her homespun mix of classic dance with crisp, modern pop. Her sound is a dance-floor ready, pop-extravaganza and there’s just so much going on from euphoric pop chorus’ to chugging club basslines that you won’t be able to stop listening with her full live band in tow for a very special performance that rips up all the club rules! ▬▬▬| Room 2 Sounds Waves 1st Birthday Present: Squarehead (Extended Set) Waves is a new series offering the chance to get up close and personal with some of the UK’s most exciting and innovative rising stars in House and Garage. Nights are built on the foundation of a carefully curated line up and one extended set, presented in an intimate, off-the-beaten-track space. Having hosted the likes of Dauwd, Youandewan and Walter Ego, this October Waves celebrates its 1st birthday with a timely dose of trademark tropical fun to keep the summer vibes alive. As one of Sheffield’s finest young producers, Squarehead is fast becoming the super hot talent of 2014. With a prolific string of releases on Wolf Music, Pet Recordings and Waze & Odyssey's 'Street Tracks' to his name, you can expect there to be a truly special blend of house and garage as we welcome him for a rare extended set.
