  • Launch event for Dale Cornish's new album Xeric, released by the ever-reliable Entr'acte imprint, further explores the questions of a/rhythm, space, silence and perception of pulse/percussive gestures initiated with the acclaimed 2012 Entr'acte album 'Glacial'. Plus interlude cassette selections from Philip Marshall, and a spoken word vinyl set from the enigmatic Zerocrop. DALE CORNISH: New album ‘Xeric’ further explores the questions of a/rhythm, space, silence and perception of pulse/percussive gestures initiated with the acclaimed 2012 Entr'acte album 'Glacial'. Born, raised and current of London (south). No Bra (2004-6): co-wrote unexpected hit ‘Munchausen’. Terse humour and observations/worldly interests further evident with work of ecstatic noise trio Baraclough (2006–10). Current focus is on solo and collaborative works and performances. Previous solo releases include 'Fleshpile Sister' for Entr'acte, 'Fleshpile Thematic' for The Tapeworm and 'Voluntary Redundancy Salad' for Beartown Records. PHIL JULIAN: Phil Julian is a UK based experimental sound artist, composer and improviser. Under both the Cheapmachines alias and his own name, Phil Julian has been venturing across various strains of unorthodox sound since the late 1990′s, with his prolific output on a catalogue of imprints encompassing a diverse range of sonic textures. Studio recordings and live performances within Europe and North America have focused on the use of analogue electronics (particularly unstable and/or chaotic systems) and computer based works. VA AA LR (Vasco Alves/Adam Asnan/Louie Rice): VA AA LR is a trio comprised of Vasco Alves, Adam Asnan and Louie Rice. Their interests include such diverse practices as radio and static textures produced with customised analogue devices and software (Alves), musique concrete and the auditory 'image' subject to intervention, disruption and disintegration (Asnan) and electronic and acoustic systems utilising the physicality of the medium, signal chain and spatial context to create disruptive audio material (Rice).
