  • The idea behind One Day is simple. Condensed nicely into one day and night on the Summer Solstice, we're breaking free from the confines of London for a musical detox in an intimate country setting. With pop-up parties outside the M25 a distant memory, and London awash with one-day festivals, we're changing things up a little. The Willows, Hertfordshire will be the location for a face-off between master practitioners from Rush Hour Records and Innervisions. They'll sharpen their needles for battle, ready to turn the quiet, secluded spot into a countryside collision of house, disco and techno, surrounded by barbecues, cocktails and a crisp funktion one sound. This is certainly no festival, but by the time the sunrise set approaches, you'll wish you could stay for the rest of the weekend. *************MUSIC************* Day: Tom Trago / Hunee / San Proper / Maxi Mill Night: Marcus Worgull / Konstantin Sibold / Sven Weismann / Jacques Adda Support from: SAINTS DON’T SLEEP: the Brixton-based club night has been taking place for over a year, with past guests including Andreś, Kon & Amir, M.ono & Luvless and Eddie C. Their residents will be bringing the same funk, disco and soul goodness that has made their parties some of the best in London. BADE RECORDS: this new UK label specialises in a very Berlin sound that will provide a perfect warm-up for the evening’s proceedings. They’ll be flying over label signings Ben Bohmer from Berlin and Alexander Christian from Amsterdam specially for the occasion, supported by Kesper and Bade residents. *************FOOD & DRINK************* Skip lunch, because we’ll be inviting a host of pop-up traders serving hot off the smoking barbecue. To quench your mid-summer thirst we’ll have a cocktail bar overflowing with Pimms and other Solstice selections. *************OTHER COMFORTS************* Chill out areas, tented stages, circus performers, nice people *************TRAVEL************* By Car: There will be ample parking space for anyone making their own way. You can even get a bit of shut-eye after lights up before heading home. By Train: The closest station is Stevenage, a direct 25 minute journey from King’s Cross. We’ll be running a FREE SHUTTLE BUS service to and from the station, every 30 minutes.
