LOOSE CANNONS DJs
The Don-Daddas of DJ Duo-dom, Kaiser Saucy & Lord Fader have injected dirt-fuelled glamour & disrepute to dancefloors worldwide, from the E4 Skins house-party in London, to the Australian Music Awards in Sydney, aboard Armani’s yacht in Monte Carl, Manumission in Ibiza, Exit in Serbia…. And even Keith-Prodigy’s wedding…. As well as hitting all the main UK festivals, including Glastonbury, V, Lovebox and TDK Cross Central. Radio1’s Rob Da Bank described the LCs as “undoubtedly the finest party djs this side of Mars and our Bestival after party DJs of choice.” Guest list for their show on dance music radio station Kiss 100 reads like a who’s who of superhot, cutting edge Nu-skool, mixed with a hefty ‘thwack’ of heavy-hitters flexing their Cred-credentials: MSTRKRFT, Switch, M.I.A., CSS, Alex Gopher, Jamie Lidell, Lady Sovereign to name very few. And apparently they still find time to remix the likes of Roisin Murphy, Justice, Dragonette, Kissy Sell Out ! The Loose Cannons ARE the party. Moneyback guaranteed…
Electronic outfit RGBs are just three hot British girls and a nice French guy but we’re a tiny bit worried they might blast the roof of the Horse Hospital with their power pop hurricane ! Their unique mix of beautiful soaring vocals, catchy electronic tunes, uplifiting performance and refreshing sense of fun makes for a party vibe at every gig they play. Which got them to support none less than Groove Armada, thanks to Tom Findlay’s enthusiasm who begged : “Mesmerising - like Kate Bush at an Ibizan rave – please can they support us?!”. Selected by Rob Da Bank and Colin Murray for Radio 1, this summer will see them all over the place, playing festivals such as Lovebox, Creamfields or Bestival.
THE HOUSEWIVES live
…are “sophisto-pop”, say Artrocker. The Housewives got together in December 2006 to make hip-swerving dancefloor indie. The band mix up indie pop, drum and bass, Latin beat and whatever else they fancy to catchy effect. Their jam-packed live schedule has seen them support Young Knives, Bloc Party and Belle and Sebastian. Here’s what Drowned in Sound said about The Housewives: “Imagine Jeff Buckley salsa dancing at a drum n’ bass night and you’re close to what the ‘wives have achieved.”
Plus music from your resident host David H playing New Wave, Electro and Disco in The Main Room.
Be presents The Non-Stop Electric Cabaret in The South Gallery, a Rock n Roll burlesque featuring the exquisite Miss Vicky Butterfly and this week's guests. DJ Bioux provides the perfect musical accompaniment to the evenings performances, spinning a potent mix of 50s Garage, Sleaze and Exotica.
