<b>SHONKY (Freak n Chic)
Are the true musical heroes those who go out on a limb and create challenging tracks that might not even work on the dancefloor? Or should we really be praising the hordes of blissfully instinctive slices of anonymity that flicker in and out of your favourite DJs set, happy to exist for the moment only? One producer who has thrown his hat in with the latter camp is Parisian native Shonky, who over the course of a dozen or so club-thumping remixes and EPs has managed to carve out a niche as a reliably playable producer.
<b>STYLE OF EYE (Pickadoll)
Style of Eye or Linus Eklow started out working in the studio in the late 90ies and began to develop his unique style of music with releases and remixes on such prolific labels as Classic Recordings, Tiny Sticks and Rabid Records - to name just a few - or most recently on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label.
His understanding of electronic music goes far beyond stereotyped thinking as you can tell from going through the list of different labels he has released on. Linus melts down electrish bleeps, hysteric synthezisers, raw percussions, minimalism, big mouthed basses and soulful chords in order to create the club destroying monsters.
