  • The performance will target the "algorave" sound, in which rave-themed music is generated by algorithms rather than played back off of prerecorded media, plus experimental electronic music and noise. More on algorave can be found here: http://algorave.com/about/ Two thirds of this event is performance art using the method of live coding, in which a computer program producing audio or visual feedback is written live and edited as it is running as an improvisation. The coding activity of the performer is projected for the audience to see, sometimes along with algorithmically-generated images. For more on live coding as an art form, see this Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_coding
