On Saturday 7th December, the Crate Brewery Shed in Hackney Wick will be hosting the Philippines Relief Fundraiser, with all proceeds going to the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and Shelter Box. Minimum donation is £10 for entry including 1 raffle ticket. For every extra £5 you get one more ticket. His electronic experiments have been challenging listeners since the 90s, with music ranging from drum and bass and breakcore to outright bizarre IDM and experimental synth-pop, and releases on legendary labels like Warp, Planet Mu and Moving Shadow. Tim will be gracing the stage for a special performance, and punters will even have the chance to bid for a live jam session with the man himself! (With all proceeds going to DEC and Shelter Box) ITAL TEK With releases this year on Planet Mu, Civil Music and his own Atom River imprint, the prolific Ital Tek has proven himself to be one of the most exciting producers in the UK underground today. Having moved on from his dubstep roots to a more footwork-influenced sound, expect to hear plenty of hyperactive Chicago-derived rhythms and experimental madness from the Brighton trailblazer. GILES SMITH Founder of the renowned party and record label Secretsundaze, and one half of Two Armadillos, London based DJ/producer Giles Smith is deep in the game, playing a big part in the UK house and techno scene for over a decade now. With strong programming skills and a hearty passion for a great party, you can be sure to expect a brilliant set of hypnotic deep house and techno from Mr Smith. JEROME HILL Jerome Hill is a lover of music of many kinds, active in the hip-hop scene as well as the techno scene, and a passionate celebrator of UK rave culture, hosting a weekly 'rave history' show on London's Kool FM. Known to play anything from hip-hop and funk to dancehall, jungle, techno and beyond, it's Jerome's experience and versatility that make him a must see DJ. BRADLEY ZERO Leeds-born, Peckham-based Bradley Zero is a crucial part of London's underground clubbing scene right now, as founder and host of the vinyl-only party Rhythm Section, as a programmer/host at Boiler Room, as a broadcaster at NTS Radio, and of course as a highly-skilled and prolific DJ in his own right, focusing on the more smooth and soulful end of the house and techno spectrum. RAJ CHAUDHURI Raj Chaudhuri A.K.A. DJ Rags is a founding member and director of London hip-hop night Livin' Proof, as well as manager of the Bleep record label. Also an accomplished DJ himself, Raj has regular slots at NTS and Boiler Room, playing a varied mix of styles and genres but with a clear focus on his beloved hip-hop. WOTNOT MUSIC K15 Regularly showing off his enviably eclectic musical tastes as a resident at Off The Record, a vinyl-only night, K’s also had a six-year DJ residency at the Jazz Cafe (UK Soul Jam and Keep The Faith), released with WotNot and Amsterdam’s Ini Movement and produced Belle’s forthcoming Lapwing EP. Alphabets Heaven Alphabets Heaven is Jonny Wildey, a Brighton based musician. With a focus on sub-pressure and home recordings, he has been seen on the Boiler Room and supported the likes of Baths, Onra, Daedelus, Tokimonsta and Toro Y Moi on recent UK dates with his unbelievable live show and signature sound which can only be described as a crossing of synthesis and nature: Deft Having bestowed upon the world the gift of dubstep you might think that Croydon had given modern music all it had to give. Not quite, enter Deft. Despite his young age, Deft has already managed to establish a sonic personality in his music that is earning him support from all the right people, in all the right places. His releases on a stunning variety of labels, including WotNot, Project: Mooncircle, Space Hardware and Rwina, are matched by an equally eclectic catalogue of remixes for the likes of Gang Colours (Brownswood), Graham Coxon (EMI), Ital Tek (Civil Music) Slick Shoota (Hyperboloid) and Decca. Manni Dee With a string of stunning releases on Black Sun Records, Shades Recordings and an upcoming release on Perc Trax, Manni has been blowing up the techno world of late, with support from Surgeon, Blawan, Perc, Truss and Clouds. Chesslo Junior Chesslo’s forward-thinking lo-slung hip-hop on his Graphic Description EP for WotNot, and Catfish EP self-release has led to remixes for Kelpe and Deft, and airplay on BBC 6Music and 1Xtra. His latest release on Crystal Culture features remixes from DJ Spinn, SwamiMillion and DJ XXX.
