KRIS MENACE (Compuphonic)
HUGGY
Kris Menace is fast becoming one of the most respected producers and DJ's in electronic music with musical mavericks such as Felix Da Housecat and Jagz Kooner working with him and support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Erol Alkan and Annie Mac. He is also the owner of house label "Work It Baby" where he has nurtured the talents of Fred Falke, Lifelike and Serge Santiago amongst others.
Menace's debut single, "Discopolis" was released on Vulture Music and it became one of the biggest selling house tracks of 2005. In 2006, Kris launched his "Compuphonic" label as a home for his own productions "Voyage", "Fairlight", "Steamroller" and "Jupiter". The latter became one of the most heavily downloaded tracks of 06 on beatport and led to him making a name for himself spinning with close friend Alan Braxe across the globe.
Now a highly in demand remixer, he has contirbuted mixes for LCD Soundsystem, Air, Felix Da Housecat, The Presets, Roisin Murphy and Tracey Thorn to name a handful. 2008 is set to be Kris' best year yet. His latest release, "Stereophonic" with dance legends Spooky is blowing up and he has been writing with Felix Da Housecat. The fruits of their labours will be unveiled in May and a best of compilation is being prepared for an Autumn release.
