After a summer of amazing Sundance terrace parties Ritual returns to its birth place and home, Under The Bridge to bring you another heavyweight line up it is quickly becoming famous for, chosen by promoters with a genuine love for underground sounds, and a determination to become the go-to place for quality dance music way out west.
As far as proper DJs with skills go, you don’t get much better than EZ, a UK garage veteran and purveyor of bassline, 2-step, funky and beyond, all delivered in his inimitable, fast-paced party style where new music is created on the spot using simply DJ techniques that are beyond most jock’s comprehension. For evidence just, check his classic Boiler Room mix.
Since the age of 15 DJ EZ has been a regular on pirate stations like Dance 93FM, Dimension FM (which he founded) and Freek 101.8 FM. He ran the weekly night Club Z at the Gas Club in central London and guested on Kiss FM shows with Steve Jackson, plus DJs Bobby & Steve, before being offered his own show, which to this day he still presents.
Drum and bass leading- light Calibre has been responsible for some of the most beautiful drum & bass ever. He continues to drop jaws worldwide with his sublime and sultry productions and deep, musical DJ sets that take in elements of jazz, funk, dub and techno, all infused with a soulful touch and driving energy.
As well as several quality compilations including a recent mix for the Fabriclive series, Calibre has released six critically-acclaimed albums, which feature both his voice and instrumentation, and encompass a spectrum of sounds broader than simply drum and bass, that includes elements of dub reggae, electro, broken beat and deep house. Calibre has released music on a diverse range of labels including 31, Liquid V, Ganja, Deep Medi and Digital Soundboy. He’s also a highly in-demand remixer who has re-interpreted tracks by Joe Goddard, T.E.E.D, and US R&B singer Jaheim, to sublime effect .
Alongside the likes of Disclosure, Bondax, Bicep and Krystal Klear, Cardiff duo Bodhi are at the forefront of the 90s New York-style house/garage renaissance. They’ve released records on Sinden’s Grizzly, plus Push & Run, remixed The XX and produced ace mixes for Red Bull and Mixmag. Plus, check out the brilliant video to ‘Culture’ here.
With both production and DJ skills way beyond their years, praise from The Guardian, XLR8R, Radio 1, Toddla T, Skream & Benga, Falty DL, SBTRKT and FACT, plus worldwide DJ bookings (including Bestival and XOYO in the UK), expect Bodhi to rise fast up the ranks this year and become big news very soon.

Newcomer LeyLine started his DJ career playing drum n bass at venues such as Birmingham's Rainbow Warehouse and Bristol's Basement 45. Having then moved to London, following the launch of his night Crem Della, he has found himself behind the decks at XOYO and KOKO alongside some of the industry’s biggest artists.
For anyone tired of freezing, dank and grimy warehouse spaces with filthy toilets and no proper facilities, Ritual is a medium sized (500 capacity) space with a thunderous soundsystem and an intimate underground feel, which, despite its size, has something of the ‘superclub’ about it; Eddy Temple Morris even suggested that it could be a contender for ‘the new End (club)’.
Described by Notion magazine as having an “amazing sound and visual set-up” Ritual has a spared no expense and cut no corners in bringing you a high-spec, high production value experience, that even includes a large part of (the much loved dance act) Leftfield’s stunning live visual rig.
A night with a strong personality, it’s Ritual by name and by nature; in addition to the quality underground sounds, tribal UV face painting, UV lights and ritualistic visuals form a key part of the night’s concept and identity.
Ritual is brought to you by the team behind The Music League, plus April’s massive Leftfield & Friends show at Brixton Academy in partnership with Red Bull that featured Booka Shade (live), Laurent Garnier, M.A.N.D.Y, and James Zabiela.
Bringing forward-thinking line-ups to an area of London which has historically only catered for a mainstream crowd, Ritual has already played host to Zinc, Prins Thomas, Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco, Stanton Warriors, Hervé, Felix From Hot Chip, The Correspondents, Plump DJs, Eddy Temple Morris, X-Press 2, Maxxi Soundsystem and and Hot Since 82.
