Need2soul - Cargo

  • After a much needed soul warming session to kick start the year, Need2Soul return to Cargo for the second installation of their bi-monthly LIVE series. Having ‘introduced’ this LIVE house music band to the UK following massive DJ support (including the unforgettable and classic ‘Might do something wrong’), the crowds here revelled in the arrival of this new dance sensation and celebrated the live sound and vibe they brought intensely. This year Need2Soul proudly present their return. Supported by finishing the North American tour and lying in wake of a host of new material, Tortured Soul will be inches away from releasing their teaser EP ‘In Transit’. To accompany the new body of music TS have invited long time friend and collaborator Mark ‘Tewar’ Tewarson. The ‘gifted badass’ also plays nine other instruments and will ‘add an extra rhythmic element that takes the energy to a different place’. Guess it’s safe to say the new material will be just, if not more explosive than the previous! DJ alliance comes in the form of UK house/techno ledgend Charles Webster who most cetainly specialises in producing house music, and production in general! Last years debut album from Tracy Thorn included. The derbyshire native grew up making music for hip-hop and techno bands even recording with it’s inventors Juan, Derrick and Kevin. There the path for constant quality releases was formed; labels shaped from his skills are Love From San Francisco, Remote and recently the upcoming collab with Atjazz on Miso records. Webster has also worked under various monikers, including Furry Phreaks, Presence, and Megatonk. Presence being a live project, which toured the world after recording a studio long play that received huge critical acclaim. It is no wonder Charles is so good at remixing quality music at an immense rate. Expect nothing less than a feast from a well rounded and acutely tuned DJ. Finishing this outfit is Rap Saunders who definitely knows how to get the party started!
