The season finalee is upon us, its been an immense year and we’ve had the pleasure of showcasing some outstanding artists from the world of electronica and for D03 we are certainly turning up the heat. In true Derelicht style we want to end our first season with a bang so we’ve pushed the boat out on this one to bring you, Ame – the DJ/production duo of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann. As part of the Innervisions family, the collective/label they run with Dixon, Ame offer glimpses of the future of electronic music through their live project & immersive DJ sets. In a genre obsessed with reliving the past, Ame are focused on what’s still to come. Ame’s ability to fuse together seemingly disparate influences is greatly informed by their talents as DJs. Not given to fulfilling trends, their sets draw upon the whole of dance music’s history and keep them in great demand around the world. Their regular nights at such establishments as Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Fabric (London) and Trouw (Amsterdam) are exceeded only by their marathon sets during Innervisions nights at their beloved Panorama Bar (Berlin). Lets hope they’ve have packed their running shoes for D03. Supporting our headliners will be producer and DJ behind Simple Records and Aus Music - Will Saul. His deep dubby sound with flashes of soul and irresistible melodies that hark back to the early days of Detroit is perfect for our custom FunktionOne sound system. Will has gained an admirable reputation as not only a show- stealing DJ, but also a talented A&R man and producer. He’s remixed for Little Dragon, Scuba, Solomun, Pearson Sound, and The Juan Maclean (DFA) to name a few. Will was resident at the legendary End club in London for many years before it closed and compiled the 15th edition of the renowned Balance CD series. Will’s label, Aus Music has recently come into its prime and was voted in xlr8r magazine’s top 10 labels of 2012 with releases scheduled this year from Bicep, Dusky, George FitzGerald and Midland. All forward thinking artists that we could potentially be seeing at Derelicht next year… …and finally you’ve seen our resident ThermalBear twice this year already, he’s delivered some deep tech influenced sets for you, and has risen to the challenge of delivering immersive 3hr displays for the Derelicht faithful. Delivering low slung warm up sets featuring tracks by Andre Kraml, Simon Baker and Leon Vynehall we acknowledge its one of the toughest jobs in the industry being a resident and ours has nailed it perfectly. ThermalBear has also had a manic year elsewhere with high profile gigs on the Involv3r tour, Egg London and the Extrema Outdoors Festival in Belgium appearing alongside the likes of Sasha, James Teej & Droog. Things are hotting up too as our favourite bear has been announced as a guest of Sasha at his legendary Never Say Never installments at Ushuaia, Ibiza. With a further EP coming on the Last Night On Earth imprint its certainly been some year from our man in the woods but equally hard earned and well deserved.
