Sound. Colour. Imagination. Inspiration. Passion. Aotearoa.
We all know the law of attraction and we understand our desire for cutting edge music, art and design.
Atrackd is a combination of all these elements. An electronic night, with an artistic twist. Piece together a selection of New Zealands freshest DJs and Artists and you get culture, music, and people, all wrapped into one night showcasing something different, something to inspire. Atrackd.
Every 2 months this event will take place at the lush venue 4:20 on Karangahape Road. The club offers spectacular night harbour views and city lights that create an ambience like no other.
We are providing an opportunity for raw kiwi talent to exhibit some of their creations. From paintings and sculptures to pop art, visual effects, graffiti and more. Just imagine!
Who are we?
Issac Oron, DJ and Producer. Having travelled the world, living in Barcelona and New York, Issac has now stopped in New Zealand where he started his label Bootik Records and more recently, Atrackd. He is now focusing on producing music to take to the global arena, with gigs lined up this year in Tel Aviv, Spain and London. With a background in marketing and a flair for communication, Issac is a vital driving force in anything he is involved in.
Kerry Marinkovich aka Lady K, is a highly motivated woman working at TVNZ, and also as a free-lance photographer. Having spent 3 years in London working at MTV plus organising and promoting parties in the East London Underground scene she brings to Atrackd a passion for music and dancing, coupled with the drive and experience to make a great night happen. With her own radio show on UP fm, Soundscape Tuesdays 12-2pm, and being a regular player in nights such as Beat Street, SonikTonik, and Play at Ink and Coherent, Lady K has proven herself to be capable of fighting it out on the turntables with any of Aucklands heavyweight djs, supporting the likes of techno legend Stacey Pullen.
Alex Patterson of Sideroom Gallery has joined the Atrackd team with a wealth of experience, knowledge and large contact base in the New Zealand Art scene. The gallery, located in Kingsland, Auckland provides home for many local talents such as Flox, Component, Aaron Glasson and many more.
The Sideroom has branched out with the magazine Sideroom.com which can best be described as pure art adventure. It is distributed nation-wide and will soon hit Australia and the UK. Also, every Thursday at 10pm on ALT TV you can watch Sideroom.com with their hour-long show to see what artists are currently making their mark in our Art world.
Saturday 5th of April will launch the first instalment of Atrackd. The Exhibition will kick off at 9pm with the very talented Chris Cox easing us into the evening with a blend of deep, jazz infused house until 11pm when the night will head into a more electronic tip, keeping the dance-floor alive with blended genres of deep, tech-house through to minimal techno including fresh new sounds created by our very own Issac and Matt Drake.
