After a long wait we are happy to announce details for our debut event at Dukes House. The night will be hosted in one of London’s newest and most interesting venues, fitted with full Funktion One sound, accompanied by a variety of forward thinking house and techno artists. Headlining this edition, we warmly welcome Kozo to the top of the bill, with support from Rico Casazza (live) and residents Loren Heer and Bastille.
In recent years a host of Romanian artists have played an important role in pushing the deeper strands of house and techno. Alongside the trio of Raresh, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu, Kozo has been one of the key players in the Bucharest scene.
With releases on Arpiar, Rora and Soundcrossing, alongside producing the BPM and Selectro radio shows, it is easy to understand why such fuss has been created. His own vinyl only label Understand, which he runs alongside Praslea and Cezar has also risen in stature over the past few years, with releases from Praslesh and Rhadoo among others.
Aside from this Kozo has filled floors all over Europe including the Odeon Theatre in Amsterdam, Silo (Leuven), Robert Johnson, Rex Paris and the Privilege & Underground clubs in Ibiza alongside the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Zip, Rhadoo, Raresh, DJ Sneak, Tobi Neumann and Thomas Melchior to name a few.
Rico Casazza has a varied musical background of classical, soundtrack and dub, but his core interest is quality, 4/4 house and techno. After moving to London in the late ‘90s, he established a name for himself as a DJ and producer through his music and performance centred on deep abstract techno.
After many years of prolific work on labels such as Soma, Archipel, Safari Numerique and Release Sustain, Rico Casazza has travelled the world playing in some of the biggest clubs in Europe such as Pedra do Couto (Portugal), 1500m2 Do Wynajecia (Poland) alongside the likes of Audio Werner, Claro Intelecto, Cesar vs Disorder, Alexkid and Ed Davenport, to name a few. His recent live show at Fabric was met with critical acclaim, and with a packed schedule, 2013 set to see him go from strength to strength.
We look forward to seeing you on the dancefloor… x
