  • DTN is a new vinyl only quarterly London club night. Our aim is to create a night to celebrate the beauty of playing wax. Inviting new and established DJs to dig deep into their record collections to share recent finds, obscurities, rare grooves, vinyl classics, dubplates and everything in-between. Following the success of its roadblock launch party with Phonica's Simon Rigg back in September 2012, eclectic vinyl-only night Drop the Needle (DTN) is back with a bounce in January 2013 and boasts a stellar line up. Crate digger and electronic artist Colin Bailey, better known as Drums of Death, will be headlining the first DTN party of 2013. Colin will provide a supersonic journey through his epic record collection, offering a glimpse of what lies behind his electronic mastermind. At a guess, some classic hip hop, disco, sleaze, and post punk will be in his bag. In support will be the man behind London-based How The Other Half Lives & Astro Lab, Portuguese DJ and producer ZNTN. Having worked with artists such as Justin Robertson, Optimo, Andrew Weatherall and Daniel Avery, we are in for a real aural treat. DTN will also host one half of London's Savage Beach, Alex Torrance, taking us on a unique journey through his vast collection of extended 12" dubs, obscure b-sides (played at -6), new beat, and some fresh hand stamped house. Not forgetting the DTN residents Sanjay Sur, Milan Onansis and Pep Sanchez who will be warming your cockles up from 8pm. Ridley Road Market Bar (a.k.a Wu's) is known for its laid-back atmosphere. We offer the best in East-London vibes: Smashing DJs, delicious street-food and pretty awesome staff (ahem). And on top of all of that, it's always free to get in! Come early to avoid queues (we don't want you to be out in the cold...).
