THERE WILL BE TICKETS ON THE DOOR VOID have readied their next party for November 10th at Corsica Studios, with DVS1, Forward Strategy Group and MPIA3 all headlining. Headliners. DVS1, the Klockworks and Transmat affiliate who honed his own brand of uncompromising techno over the last two decades. An experienced DJ who has been playing since the 90s and now counts fabric and Berghain as regular haunts, DVS1 has picked up plenty of support not only from DJs like Derrick May, Luke Slater and Ben Klock, but so too from critical outlets in the media. With numerous releases already under his belt his tracks have been recently been licensed to fabric compilations, with new ones soon to arrive on Prologue, and Mote Evolver. If lo-fi techno is your thing, then Leeds & Edinburgh duo Forward Strategy Group are for you. Their stripped techno rhythms have so far been snapped up by labels such as Ali Wells Perc Trax and Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts with recent album Labour Division serving as a widescreen and well received vision of their sound – not to mention their in demand remix work. DJ-wise, expect an intoxicating brew of techno, synth pop, industrial, raw house and more than a few sonic experiments along the way. MPIA3 has had a seminal year in 2012, picking up props from RA and DJ Mag for his recent releases, at the same time as turning the heads of label bosses at R&S, Sigha’s Our Circular Sound and Shifted’s Avian. MPIA3 has more than a decades worth of techno experience and has a raw and industrial approach to his productions - Better known as Truss, for now, but that’s likely to change in the near future. As well as the main headliners, you can also expect offerings from the VOID residents - Randolph, Jay Clarke, Rob Meyer, Kontrol Room, Daou, Billy Allen, plus Ashley Borg and Simon Brandreth. The underground Corsica Studios is a perfect setting for such a techno marathon, dark enough to hide your shame but with a sound system so crisp you’ll never want to leave.
