Joining us for Sound Minority's 7th cave rave will be London's Saytek, who has recently been creating a buzz on the capital's underground scene with his mind-blowing live performances at The End. Using a Roland 909 workstation synced to ableton live & a controller/keyboard to wow the crowds, Saytek arranges, mixes, triggers, re-samples and tweaks effects on the fly, making his electrifying shows as live as electronic music gets. His genre-spanning productions take in tech-house, techno, electro-breaks and acid influences and are cut up and re-edited to deliver a dancefloor destroying live set.
Having the likes of Meat Katie,Danny Howells , Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson, Terry Francis ,Phil Kieran, Peace Division and John Digweed all champion and play Saytek's releases gave him a platform to start up his own label, MachineFunc Records in 2007. His most recent EP 'Alkaloidfunc' boasts support from Laurent Garnier and David Duriez and has established Saytek as a name to watch in 2008.
With live gigs in London, Berlin, Dublin and Spain under his belt he now brings the show to Joshua Brooks' basement alongside Sound Minority residents Frogrocket, Tim Driver, Lawrence Court and Chemical Tom for an evening of cutting edge underground tech-house, techno, breaks and electro-tinged mentalism.
Finish the year in acid style!
